Fulfill promises made in the 2013 SOTU that gun violence, mental health treatment, & school safety will all be addressed

We the people of the United States would like to see more in depth background checks for all gun purchases, more extensive and enforced bans on assault weapons & other weapons which are used with violent intentions, and an increased effort to educate citizens about guns, gun violence, mental health disorders & bullying. New resource officers & councilors in schools must be hired to help create more nurturing climates, and a higher quality of identification, treatment & support for people suffering with a mental health disorder is needed. Finally the way that gun violence is portrayed in video games, movies, and the news must change. Enough is enough, we the people would like the promises made to be fulfilled & schools, malls, movie theaters and the streets to become a safer environment.
