The Lumbee People, a Tribe seeking federal recognition by the U.S. Government. N.C is a historic marker proving Indian existence. Our capital is Raleigh named after, Sir Walter Raleigh who landed here in the Roanoke meeting with our ancestors. We were once called The Lost Colony, and then Croatan we founded our own Indian college, Croatan Normal School. The University today is UNC at Pembroke. Denying the largest Tribe east of the Mississippi is injustice. This is intentional genocide; therefore, to promote poverty is to privilege crime with conflict distorting communication. To deny a nation of native people, 55,000 strong isn’t equal rights it’s death to a Tribe of Indian people. How many more of our people must die until we see our dream come true? FREE OUR PEOPLES FACE AND NAME.
