The US is one of the last modern nations on earth still performing the death penalty on a regular basis. Capital punishment has long outlived its purpose and it's time to change our methods and line up with the rest of the modern world.
With at least 4% of death row inmates (As stated by The Innocence Project) innocent we can't keep ignoring this issue and looking away.
This is why I am urging the US government to finally end this madness and ban the death penalty for good so that we can deal with criminals in a more humane fashion like all other developed countries.
