The outdated English system of weights and measures is an anachronism that has replaced by the metric system in virtually every other modern country on earth, and has even been mostly discarded by the English who started it (they still serve beer by the pint). The time is long overdue for the United States of America to join the modern world using the metric system, in which all weights and measures follow a logical sequence and are inter-related.
