Those who sign here petition the U.S. government to directly address the conflict taking place in Syria between the Assad regime and the Syrian people with appropriate force by the end of 2013.
Thus far, the U.S. government has not done enough to minimize the loss of civilian life (over 60,000 dead) or contribute to the overthrow of a violent dictator in Syria, a strategic partner for a safe and prosperous Near East. A clear declaration and plan must be made on how the U.S. intends to end the fighting in Syria, remove President Assad, and promote a government of the people.
