Federal and state officials are negotiating immunity for banks who participated in criminal activities such as robo-signing, selling bad mortgages, and illegally foreclosing on homeowners. This deal is supported by Mr. Geithner. A full and public investigation of these banks should be completed before any immunity deals are agreed upon. Criminal actions should result in prison. Fair damages should be paid to homeowners who were cheated.
