Senator Wyden has repeatedly requested to see the secret legal opinions that contain the executive branch's understanding of Presidential authority to kill American citizens in the course of counter-terrorism operations. He has also requested a complete (not partial) list of countries in which our intelligence community has used its lethal counter-terrorism authorities.
The senators requests HAVE NOT been answered in a timely or complete manner. This is unacceptable. As a member of the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence his job is to provide oversight over the intelligence activities of this country to ensure that they conform with the Constitution and U.S. law.
As a concerned citizen I request that this administration fully comply with these requests as required by law.
