On Saturday August 9th, Rabbi Joseph Raksin, from New York, was gunned down while walking to a synagogue in Miami.
Despite the recent attacks of anti-Semitism responding to events in Gaza, including swastikas painted on another synagogue a few blocks away, the Miami-Dad police seem to be ignoring the obvious, it is a Hate Crime.
According to said Maj. Hector Llevat, who heads the Miami-Dade Police Homicide Bureau,“Until we have additional information, we won’t know with certainty what what the motive was for this crime. Right now, there are no indications that it was a hate crime or related to a hate crime. However, we are not closing that door, and we are not ruling anything out"
We urge the White House to follow this case carefully so that ALL Jewish Americans can feel safe in the US
