Housing Authorities provide vital services to millions of Americans struggling to maintain stable housing. We run Section 8 voucher programs, public housing subsidizes, home repair services, energy assistance and energy education programs, welfare to work programs are we are the true safety net service to millions in this Country. Our funding levels are constantly cut, making homelessness numbers increase. This not the American way. Congress, you need to fully fund at 100% the operating funds, the HAP payments, capital funds and the like, to make all Housing Agencies whole. We, the workers, need to provide these services, without being eligble for them. Fully fund HUD housing programs !
