Fully fund & computerize the Department of Veterans Affairs. End the average year long wait for benefits.

Created by F.B. on May 24, 2013

In April of 2009, the Obama administration vowed to create a computerized system to handle returning veterans claims. Four years and almost one billion dollars later, attempts to integrate the 2 current systems, (VA VistA and the DOD Alta) have now been abandoned. There are estimated to be almost 900,000 unresolved claims.

In April 2013, Eric Shinseki testified that the backlog would be resolved by 2015, and then stated that wait times would still average an unbelievable 125 days.

The Obama administration has no problem organizing on a massive scale to campaign for re-election. Let's see that same outpouring of money and resources applied to swiftly paying claims due to the men and women who bravely serve our country.
