The purpose of this petition is to fully fund the Department of Veterans Affairs budget by benchmarking it to the Department of Defenses budget at a dollar for dollar ratio. The VA's and the DoD's budget's will be separate, but equal. DoD pays for going to war/action and the VA's pays for the disabled/injured service persons health and welfare after the war/action. Once the DoD budget is approved/appropriated the VA's is approved/appropriated. The DoD/VA budget shall be voted on in open session by a roll call vote. The Veteran's of the United States of America shall no longer be used as pawns in political games.
