Our children are falling behind in the advancement of technology. Our public school systems were created at the turn of the century for the industrial revolution, to prepare people for the jobs that were created as a result of the Industrial revolution. That system is now antiquated and no longer applies to the jobs of tomorrow. With the advent of self driving cars, AI, and other similar technologies, manufacturing jobs becoming more automated the knowledge needed by the workers of the 21st century is not currently integrated into the curriculum. We need to give our children starting at a young age access to technology based education. We can do this by exposing them basic computer sciences, math, as well as reading, writing. The benefits will far outweigh any capitol expense.
