The cannabis plant (cannabis sativa, cannabis indica) has been used universally by the human species since the times of ancient egypt and possibly much earlier predating even the written word. This plant was used as a medicine and healing herb for thousands of years. Science has proven many positive effects of cannabis use and although it indeed has negative effects it is no more harmful than the use of tobacco. If the united states federal government were to legalize, regulate, sell, and distribute the plant it would stimulate the economy and create countless jobs for americans. Full federal legalization would effectively liquidate the black market value of the plant adversely effecting criminals and large orginized criminal groups role in illegal sell and manafacture of the plant.
