We the people of the United States ask that the President offer a full Presidential pardon to Mark Witaschek for the guilty verdict of "attempted possession of unlawful ammunition." Mr. Witaschek has been wrongfully convicted of this crime for simply owning and possessing 25 lead and copper .45 caliber bullets used in a muzzleloader in his D.C. home. These do not include any form of gunpowder or primer, and therefore cannot be propelled in the state they were in upon conviction. Mr. Witaschek was wrongfully convicted by a judge who does not understand firearms and thus misinterpreted the law, and this wrong needs to be made right.
