Fully pardon Sgt Derrick Miller who saved soldiers in Afghanistan then illegally convicted of murdering a terrorist.

Created by J.B. on April 18, 2016

In September 2010, Sgt Derrick Miller was on a combat patrol in Afghanistan. At his unit's base, deep in Taliban territory, a suspicious person was pointed out to Sgt Miller. As he questioned the individual, it became apparent this individual was a Taliban fighter who infiltrated the base to gain intelligence. After a brief struggle the terrorist grabbed for Sgt Miller's weapon and Miller fired 20 minutes later a large Taliban force attacked the base, but because the American forces were ready the attack was repelled with no US Troops killed. However, Sgt Miller was tried and convicted of the death of the terrorist. His valient actions saved the lives of our soldiers and he was repaid with a lifetime jail sentence. Sign this petition and help free Derrick Miller. He is a hero not a murder.
