Put into law December 31st, 2011, this law suspends several Constitutional rights and primarily suspends due process of law and allows for the indefinite detention of anyone anywhere in the world, including American citizens. This increases debt spending, strips civil liberties from American citizens, and expands the powers of the executive branch, undermining the system of checks and balances. This law allows for any terrorist sympathizers to be held indefinitely, without due cause, until such a time as hostilities cease, although this time is not defined.
