Since its inception, NASA has been a leader in the development of numerous technologies, including computers, communications, Earth sciences, and a host of others that has enriched the lives of all Americans.
NASA has operated on a shoestring budget and has received almost no public support from politicians during that time. Its current budget is just over 17 billion dollars a year. Compare the to the 553 Billion dollars allocated to defense.
Hundreds of thousands of well paying would be created by the expansion of NASA and the money from these jobs will remain here in America and will provide a tremendous boost to our economy.
NASA deserves better resources to keep the United States competitive in science and technology and to provide a path to the future for our children.
