Amtrak is underappreciated. Having been a rider, I feel like it is an alternative mode of domestic transportation from flying. The TSA has made flying a hassle, and because of them, many people would rather drive than fly. Unfortunately, our roads are getting congested. Amtrak has posted record ridership levels, which proves that some people are switching. President Obama, when he was still Senator Obama, promised he would look into this when he became president. You never see Amtrak advertisements anywhere, and many people don't know how to ride the train anymore. Fund Amtrak so that they can build their own railroads, order new cars, and advertise so that people will know there is a train service out there.
