The congress now is interested in studying ways to reduce firearm deaths and injuries. In the past they had de-funded the Centers for Disease Control in conducting such studies, even though the agency is very effective in suggesting policies to reduce morbidity and mortality from various causative agents. So we should go ahead and fund the Centers for Disease Control to look into ways to decrease firearm deaths and injuries.
