There are drugs which are already approved by the FDA for high blood pressure and diabetes that have shown promise in stabilizing cancers, but no pharmaceutical companies are willing to bear the expense of doing the clinical trials necessary to get them re-approved for cancer treatment because they are off-patent now and available for only pennies per pill. Since there would not be a huge profit, these drugs are "fiscal orphans" that cannot be used for anything but their originally approved purpose. Because of this, these promising studies are going to the UK and India rather than being done here in America, and our cancer-stricken citizens will be the last to benefit. We need to fund clinical trials. See www.global-cures.org.
