In order to combat poverty, crime, and another lost generation of at-risk and inner-city youth to gun crime, please fund a large Endowment. Its purpose would be to fund innovative educational programs, in all their forms, for at-risk youth, including after-school programs, head-start education, gang education, and work programs. An Endowment is a self-perpetuating fund, that would provide money for this purpose for decades. All Americans should be concerned with providing meaningful support to the poor, meaning programs that provide relevant education, and are helpful in eradicating gun violence and disenfranchisement.
