After the recent school shooting I have heard many ideas on how we can best protect our children. Our children cannot be raised within a bubble. The world has it's dangers. There is a simple way we can help protect them that is already being used in banks across the nation. If a system of panic buttons were installed in each school with one at each desk in the front office, and one in each classroom, staff would be alerted to danger as soon as it was discovered and could lock down much faster. Local police would be alerted at the first sign of danger as well, and their response time would be dramatically improved. There is no reason our money should be better protected than our children.
