The Kurds have proven themselves to be excellent fighters and strategists throughout the conflict with ISIS. Additionally, they're one of the most accepting cultures in the Middle East, far more open to coexistence than other cultural entities throughout the area.
They're currently suffering from a lack supplies in their battle against the overwhelming firepower of ISIS. I propose that the US should back the Kurds with arms and logistics to battle the current insurgency in Iraq and help establish a more autonomous Kurdish population.
The Kurdish people have been oppressed throughout there history. Let's not turn our backs on them again!
