I have seen a increase in the number of orchestrated, violent attacks on citizens of the United States at an alarming pace. In being witness to these events over the last several years, I feel that the only names remembered are those of the criminals.
Let's build a memorial to the victims of gun violence; historically and, tragically, those to come. I want future generations to learn of these tragedies, pay their respects to the victims and heroes by never forgetting them, and just maybe instil the fortitude in future generations to not repeat them.
I feel that if we give the attention and remembrance to those who have fallen victim and deserve it, and divert it from those who are so desperately seeking it by perpetrating these crimes, then maybe we can eliminate these heinous acts.
