Fund more investigations/investigators for yearly inspections of 53,000 livestock farms and fisheries;7,000 isn't enough

Funding has been cut since 1997 for the needed USDA inspections of live stock farms and fisheries in adhering to the HACCP standards. Since, more overcrowding of livestock and fish continue to create issues of cleanliness, and numerous cases of Ecoli poisoning have occurred. The ethical treatment of livestock have surfaced but have been ignored. The live animals are subject to cruel, inhumane treatment due to insufficient laborers and uncaring, overworked (?) farmers. Labeling each package of meat should include which farm the meat came from and last date of inspection; this not only for cleanliness, but for abuse of livestock including transporting livestock. Overcrowding is the main reason animals need antibiotic treatments, and are recklessly handled in some farms.
