Fund nationwide internet infrastructure through no interest loans and tax breaks to Google Fiber, to end cable monopoly.

Created by J.M. on February 20, 2014

We need to assist companies like Google to improve our technology infrastructure, which is falling far behind many countries in the world. Google Fiber, or similar internet providers, should be subsidized for a specified period of time in order to obtain the following outcomes:

1) Bring bandwidth in line with the ever increasing demands being placed upon it by content providers.
2) Provide competition to the monopoly of traditional cable company dominated internet access in order to drive down cost.
3) Limit the impact of current ISPs to charge more for specific content delivery.

By providing incentives like tax breaks, no-cost loans, easements, etc. the government can encourage this change that will benefit the entire country.
