The foremost argument against gun control is private citizens desire to protect themselves from people breaking into their homes. However, protection is not reached by killing another, but impairing them. The killing part is senseless. If taser or other non-lethal firearms were opened for public consumption, firearms that momentarily impair another person but do not kill them, we could end the national conversation on gun control, give private citizens the ability to protect themselves, and remove dangerous and lethal weapons of senseless destruction from our streets.
