Fund research for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

Created by Z.P. on March 21, 2013

Asking the Obama Administration to fund more research for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. Both of these diseases affect more than 500,000 Americans alone each year. A lot of the patients are children from 5-15 and many adults as well. The symptoms include: Crippling abdominal pain, bloody diarehia, joint pain, fatigue, and many others. With Crohn's and Colitis the things that separate them are that Crohn's can affect anywhere from the mouth down; while colitis is only colon related. There are treatments out there but some patients cannot tolerate them. There needs to be more research done so eventually we can find a cure. Then this country can save the estimated 500 million dollars in health care costs these diseases in America each year.
