Thorium is a safer nuclear alternative that can give the whole world clean energy for more than a thousand years if used wisely. So why aren't we researching this? The United states alone has 400,000 tons of reasonably recoverable thorium. Thorium can absorb neutrons to form uranium 232 which can be used for fission. Since the Uranium supply depends on the Thorium, there is a much smaller chance for an accident. Research thorium reactors since thorium is abundent and a great source for energy.
