Fund school safety programs via national election campaign spending

Created by A.C. on December 18, 2012

We the People demand legislation to fund school security programs in the wake of the Sandy Hook tragedy, and to do so using a portion of campaign spending in national elections.

2012 saw spending of $6 billion in national elections, lets stop wasting money on negative ads and focus on making our children safe!

This legislation must:

1. Require that 3% of all campaign spending by candidates, national committees and PACs be earmarked for school security programs.(this would have meant $180 million nationally for our schools safety programs).

2. Funds to be allocated to the states where Congressional candidates reside, Presidential funds to be split equally among 50 states.

3. School districts have discretionary control but the funds MUST be used for security programs.
