Brandon Smiths mission would be to evaluate the climate characteristics of Mars in order to verify his statement that Mars and Earth are "the exact same temperature". Also, Mr. Smith's mission would include searching for possible coal mining operation and factories on the red planet that are unknown to the United States Government. Duration of the mission should be open ended with annual funding reviews. Further funding being contingent upon significant scientific findings that prove Mr. Smiths statement of:
"... I won’t get into the debate about climate change but I’ll simply point out that I think in academia we all agree that the temperature on Mars is exactly as it is here. Nobody will dispute that. Yet there are no coal mines on Mars. There’s no factories on Mars that I’m aware of
