As humans deplete the natural resources of Earth it is imperative to fund, design and launch a mission to transport willing explorers to Pandora, the fifth moon of the gas giant Polyphemus, which orbits Alpha Centauri A.
The benefits of such an undertaking are obvious:
1. This would be an immediate, massive public works project to lower unemployment;
2. Earth appears to be well on its way to joining Venus as an inhospitable super-sauna;
3. The Na'vi are cool;
4. Gravity is 20% less than on Earth;
5. They have flying mountain banshee;
6. Bioluminescence at night!
7. Cheaper than building a death star.
Funding should be secured by closing corporate tax loopholes and charging a small transaction fee on all financial transactions. What could go wrong?
