Despite the prolific news exposure, some types of violence are decreasing. Firearm violence is decreasing but has caught public attention. Rather than focus on one tool used for violence, such as firearms, knives, automobiles, etc, I propose that a high level study be done to determine the root cause(s) of violence so that we may better deter it.
