To fund the DOJ, Federal Bureau of Prisons at 100% to allow for full staff staffing at all prisons. With budget cutting and lack of cost of living increases staff are not staying with the agency and are not safe. We work behind the walls these walls house some of the worst of the worst of society.
Since 2013 we have had many staff assaults 2 line of duty deaths.
We have one of the toughest law enforcement jobs and we need full funding so all staff can go home to there loved ones at the end of the day.
We also petition the agency to install gun lockers on the unsecured side of the prison so staff can secure there firearm. Law enforcement as a whole is a target just because of the nature of our jobs. We should be able to protect ourselves while Commuting to and from work.
