The WIA, Workforce Investment Act, which offer grants to unemployed and underemployed individuals currently has little or no funding. This program has trained and employed thousands upon thousands of people in the past and now, when our economy and our people need it the most, this program is at a standstill. We need to stop figuring out how to create jobs, we need to train people to meet the current jobs available. Now, today, our country needs to train people to meet the job shortages that exist. Hundreds of people are collecting food stamps, unemployment and social security benefits while trying to figure out how they will find a job that doesn't exist. Train these people to become truck drivers, nurses, computer experts and etc so they can meet the skills required to have a job
