Justice Burger began the We the People program to get students involved and excited to participate in our government. The competition used to be funded by the Federal Government and of course was one of the things cut from the budget while funding for athletics is still going strong. We need the Obama administration to begin funding academic programs especially ones like We the People to allow the students to gain knowledge and become better active citizens for the future.
