The next level of global warfare and national security will begin with the creation and use of piloted and remote controlled mechanical armored units. These units will be faster than conventional tanks and armored vehicles, carry larger and heavier weapons, while still allowing humanity to operate in person or via remote in the theatre of war. Funding for this new technology needs to start at the federal level in order to spur the intellectual community to begin theoretical research and development.
