The population of Earth is at least 7 billion people. Eventually the world will become overcrowded and resources will dry up. To solve this we should be start colonizing space. However it takes days just to get to and from the moon with our current technology and in the long term it won't be enough to get to and from planets. FLT (Faster Than Light Travel) would be the best course of action to remedy this.Already there is research into FLT at NASA.
