furlough both Houses of Congress for one year

Since Congress has been dysfunctional for many years now and has shown no ability to deal with the present crisis I would like to respectfully suggest that both Houses of Congress be furloughed for one year and the savings used to help pay down the debt. Considering their inability to compromise and the resulting deadlock on all almost all issues before Congress we might not even notice that they're gone.
