Furlough Congress and revamp CongressSenate retirement plans so that they may finally sympathize with their Constituents

It is not fair that many government workers are being furloughed because our elected officials can't come to an agreement on a budget, therefore Congress and Senate members should face furlough days as well. After all they were allowed to take scheduled vacation prior to the deadline for budget resolution. I think they are out of touch with the American population and are not out for our best interests. Also it's been publicized about our elected officials not having to pay into social security and are able to vote themselves pay raises while the rest of government employees have not had a pay raise in several years. Our elected officials should pay into the same programs and make the same sacrifices the rest of government employees do.
