Furlough, pay reductions and elimination of bonuses for Top Federal Officials before furloughing federal employees.

Propose a bill that would make it mandatory for pay and benefit reductions and elimination of all bonuses for all elected federal officials (including but not limited to the President, Vice President, members of both houses of Congress), Presidential Appointees (including but limited to members of the Cabinet) and the entire SES before any other federal employee may be furloughed or have their pay or benefits reduced. Furloughs and pay reductions for the rank and file federal employee will not end government debt, affect government leadership, end political party disputes or change the direction of the country. Furloughs punishes the lowest level of civil servant for circumstances outside of their control. It disrupts the lives of and demoralizes middle and lower class federal workers.
