Further reform legislation regard the burdens of increased student loan debt. The progress made is not enough.

Created by W.S. on November 14, 2012

“in the United States of America, no one should go broke because they chose to go to college.” - President Barack Obama Mr. President I agree with this statement, but too many are indeed going broke even with the reform that has been made to the legislation. We the people call for further reform to the legislation. We would also request language protecting credit reports of those struggling to pay, as this affects the ability to get jobs. The current reform allows forgiveness after a period of on-time payments. The problem is people who can pay on-time can afford to make the payments anyway. The current reform did little to help the American people in debt trying to make a living.
