Internet providers purposely slow the internet connections of paying customers. There exist laws against internet throttling to prevent discrimination on the basis of prices that customers pay and on the basis of web content that is being consumed. Net Neutrality should be extended to general internet use and should be upheld nationwide so that consumers receive the products that they pay for.
