Coverage belongs to the people, not profit-driven companies.
The Olympics is a time for athletes from different nations to compete against one another in friendly matches of human feats. It is a time to celebrate our athletes and their progress through their Olympic journey. Most importantly it is a time for the USA to cheer together for our athletes which are representing our great nation.
Companies that are profit-driven institutions do not share these same goals. They are responsible to their shareholders and therefore pander their coverage to profit making tactics.
First: Private companies should not have exclusive rights to exclusive coverage of the Olympics. Second: Congress should make it possible for every citizen to view the ENTIRE Olympics, UNEDITED, and for FREE.
