The President should make a clear, public statement regarding our purpose in continuing the war in Afghanistan, and also consider moving the combat-ready troops still guarding the 38th parallel between North and South Korea to relieve combat veterans on their second to sometimes sixth tours of duty. South Korea's economy is in much better shape than America's, why should taxpayers pay for protecting South Korea?
