For those of us who have Gender Identity Disorder it would help a lot to have insurance cover our reassignment surgery. The cost of reassignment surgery runs between $20,000 and $50,000. Here in the US the price is at the higher end and if we can get approved in other countries it's $20,000 not including the cost to get there. If our health insurance covered this expense it would help tremendously and those of us who have been living in society as the gender we believe we should be for years could finally get changed and allow all our records to be changed as well.
