The Election of Donald J. Trump to the Presidency of the United States will leave millions of undocumented immigrants and their families exposed to harassment and deportation. President Obama needs to grant undocumented immigrants, who have no criminal records, and their families, a General Amnesty, and pave the way for them to become documented residents of the United States. Doing this now will save the country from the social disruption, and economic costs, associated with President-elect's Trump plan to deport millions of people. President Obama can use his executive power to save the country from the billions of dollars in cost, and the social costs, associated with such deportations.
