The american equality bill proposes to add the words 'sexual orientation' and 'gender identity' to the original 1964 civil rights act thereby finally giving LGBT americans full anti-discrimination protection the entire country over. This is such an important idea because right now there are a hodgepodge of laws regarding LGBT americans some favorable and some very unfavorable. Where one LGBT person is safe in one state or town if they moved just over that line they might not be safe suddenly. That is just not right, and short of waiting for every state to get it right we have no alternative. So please, President Obama help us get this bill passed.
