The number of animals that are tested and experimented on each year in this country must be, without a doubt, too numerous to know.Pharmaceutical companies, lawn and garden chemical companies, automotive products/chemical companies, food companies, and cosmetics companies are either required by law or allowed to test their products on animals.Medical research labs and universities-not to mention military ballistics and ammunitions testing-experiment on animals in numerous ways.The amount of suffering that continues could probably never be verbalized properly.Living continually in cages or confined places, alone, is suffering enough.Consumers/ taxpayers unwittingly support it. This is "the end justifies the means" approach to progress and that is why, in the end, it will not benefit people
