Elon Musk, the transportation genius who is revolutionizing both the automobile and space industries, has open sourced a design for a new mode of transportation called the Hyperloop, the first leg of which would be build in California and would allow ~35min travel times between San Francisco and Los Angeles.
If Musk says it can be done, you can take him at his word. But there's a lot to be done before this is built!
50 years from now, America could have the most advanced transportation infrastructure in the world-- a system to be marveled at and emulated by every other country.
